The APG Equine scanner

Scanner Scanning horse

Scanning by the APG Equine sEMG scanner requires no invasive needles, no sedation and no controlled temperature environment.

Analysis of the data from an EMG scan will detect neural anomalies that can lead to muscular imbalances which will eventually give rise to conditions such as muscular strain, tendonitis and joint problems causing more serious conditions such as cartilage and/or tendon damage and, eventually, arthritic change.

Further Thermographic evaluation of the legs by the APG Equine sEMG scanner will reveal temperature variation in joints and tendons which would be indicative of inflammation and injury, helping to more quickly diag nose areas of lameness.  It will locate abscesses in the hoof without the use of a painful hoof tester. Why inflict pain to find pain?
